Who I am
Trauma is the main focus of my work. It results from from a deeply disturbing event or set of circumstances that can lead to an array of lasting adverse effects on a person's well-being. A negative self-image, feelings of helplessness, difficulty with relationships, problems at work, anxiety and depression are some of the symptoms that may indicate unresolved past trauma.
When something is unearthed in therapy that may be painful to you, I don't try to bury this, or tell you to let it go because it happened in the past. I bear witness to whatever you have experienced, and rather than talk you out of your feelings, I acknowledge and validate them. Healing begins when you are able to feel compassion for yourself.
I provide a safe and welcoming environment to treat both mind and body using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. This approach enable us to access your inner world to heal trauma, and help you gain a new experience of self.
You will not be alone. You will have my guidance, support and compassion.

What I Believe
I believe we all carry an inner child, one who longs to be heard without judgment, to be understood, and loved.
it is possible to progress from a state of confusion and fear to one of knowing who you are, feeling safe, self-confident and able to have the life you want for yourself.
I believe that old patterns can be interrupted and new, more fulfilling ones take their place.
I believe that you can build self-confidence and self-esteem by taking small risks, the very smallest ones you can tolerate without overwhelming yourself with anxiety.
